Solar PV Cable

Our solar PV cable consists of an insulated, non-integral sheathed single conductor. The PV solar panel cable is resistant to sunlight, suitable for a temperature of 90°C in wet or dry conditions, and a rated voltage of 600V. This type of solar cable is used for interconnection wiring of solar panels in grounded and ungrounded photovoltaic power generation systems. We also provide PV solar panel cables of several other structures and materials to meet all your solar panel wiring needs.

We customize various cables to meet your needs

Cable structure

Conductor: fine wire tinned copper conductor, in accordance with BS EN 60228:2005 cl.

Insulation: UV-resistant, cross-linkable, halogen-free, flame-retardant compound for core wire insulation.

Core logo: red, black or natural

Sheath: UV resistant, cross-linkable, halogen-free, flame retardant compound used for sheath insulation.

Cable color: black or specified

Application

Solar cables are intended for photovoltaic power systems, and similar applications, such as free hanging, mobile, fixed installation and buried in underground building covering systems. The cable can be used indoors, outdoors, hazardous explosive areas, industry and agriculture. They are suitable for equipment with protective insulation (protection class 2).

Common problems of PV cables

PV cables are wires made of advanced high-energy ray superimposed cross-linking technology and low-smoke, halogen-free, flame-retardant and environmentally friendly materials

Calculate the voltage drop, and then measure the used length L and the corresponding current I. (Resistivity ρ= 1.7×10 -8) According to the formula ρLI/U, calculate the area of the photovoltaic wire used.

6 mm cable. First, you must measure the current I (A) of the solar panel, followed by the length L, U = 12V. (Ρ= ρ= 1.7×10 -8) Use S =ρLI/U to calculate the cross-sectional area S

Use a protective cover to wrap and fix the cable to avoid harmful animals and keep it clean, and use a grounding strap to avoid short circuits.

Most photovoltaic power stations use the DC side, which is mainly used for the series connection between the components, the string to the DC distribution box, and the link between the distribution box and the inverter.
